These terms are an agreement between you and Coaching Desk (proprietor: Sumit Saurabh) for the use of Coaching Desk (the mobile app and the website at coachingdesk.in). By using Coaching Desk you accept them.
1. The service
Coaching Desk helps tuition centres, coaching academies and home tutors manage students, batches, attendance, fees, receipts, tests and notices, and send WhatsApp updates to parents.
2. Accounts
- You sign in with your mobile number. Keep your phone secure: anyone with it may be able to use your account.
- The owner of an institute decides who else (teachers, staff) can use it, and can remove them at any time.
3. Your responsibilities as an institute
- Enter accurate information and keep students' and parents' data only for running your institute.
- Obtain a parent's or guardian's consent before entering a child's details, and before turning on WhatsApp updates for any number.
- Do not use Coaching Desk to send spam, misleading messages, or links, and do not use it for anything illegal.
- You are responsible for the fees you charge and for answering parents' questions about them.
4. Fees between parents and institutes
Coaching Desk does not collect or hold fee payments. Parents pay the institute directly and the institute records the payment. Any dispute about a fee is between the parent and the institute.
5. Plans and billing
- A new institute gets a free trial. After it, the institute continues on the Free plan or a paid plan of its choice.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the prices shown on our website, plus applicable taxes.
- If a payment fails, the paid plan stays active for a short grace period before moving to the Free plan. Your data is not deleted when a plan changes.
- Each plan has limits (for example the number of active students and WhatsApp messages a month). We may change prices with advance notice.
6. WhatsApp messages
Messages are sent through the WhatsApp Business Platform and only to numbers whose owners agreed to receive them. Delivery depends on WhatsApp and on the recipient's phone; we cannot guarantee that every message arrives. Messages are not sent at night (between 9 PM and 8 AM).
7. Your data
Your institute's data belongs to your institute. You can download all of it at any time and delete it, as described in our privacy policy.
8. Availability and liability
We work to keep Coaching Desk available and correct, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending the service
You can stop using Coaching Desk and delete your institute or account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, for example by sending spam or misleading messages.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Patna have jurisdiction.
